Tarangire National Park Day Safari
See massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees in this wildlife-rich park.
Overview of the Route
Experience one of Tanzania's most underrated parks on this full-day safari to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers an incredible wildlife experience just 2 hours from Arusha. During the dry season (June-October), Tarangire boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Tanzania as animals gather around the Tarangire River. You'll have excellent chances of seeing elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and an incredible variety of bird species. The park's landscape is dramatic and photogenic, with ancient baobab trees dotting the savanna and termite mounds creating a unique backdrop. This is an excellent day safari option for those wanting a genuine bush experience without the crowds of the Serengeti.
